More from the artist...

Okay, Okay... I admit I'm terribly proud of my little guy. He never ceases to amaze me with his drawings! It's my blog and I'll brag if I want to! LOL

This first one is the Clown from the Baby Einstein video about shapes. He decided to watch it Sunday morning before church and turned out this while in Sunday School: This is from last night. We met some friends for a late meal and Jeremiah turned his coloring page over to draw all of this:

I was so proud of him! He drew all of this without help - even his name! Well, we are still working on getting ALL of the letters in order but, poor kid, his parents gave him a doozy of a long name to work with!

Wanna play Eye Spy? Can you find a sideways tree, a funny house and a blue pew? A cube in 3D, chicken feet and a crayon too? Heehee, thanks for visiting!

How do you like these in B&W?

I was playing around with some of my faves to print up as 8x10's for my walls and decided I liked these in B&W. As of yesterday, they are already printed up and on the wall but I wanted to share and see what you thought! Thanks for visiting!

Bubble Time!

The sun came out and the weather got warm... yipee! We dug out some summer toys and found lots of bubble wands and blowers. So that is what we've been up to the past few days. Big ones and little ones... Jeremiah loves to chase them around the yard. I love all the bright colors in the little plastic wands but mostly in the swirly bubbles themselves! It all reminds me that summer is on the way - warm days ahead! Yahoo! I've been waiting all winter for this!

Yes, I did say "New Job"...

But actually, it's not entirely new. I worked part time for my Brother-in-law a while back, when Jeremiah was not even a year old. And here I am again. I am just putting in a couple days a week. It seems that I am able to work from home so we are going to try that out a bit. One thing about staying home with Jeremiah that I missed was working! So to be able to work from home is such a bonus!

We're still here!

Life has been a bit crazy around here! Getting ready for an Easter Program and starting a new job... things were changing and I need to work out the kinks of scheduling work and play! Sorry this blog was neglected this past week. And thanks to you that contacted me in concern! It's nice to be missed! {{{hugs}}}

I haven't been playing as much this week with my camera but here is a pic I took the other day when we were out playing with bubbles. I love to look at his little face of wonder as he tries to catch this bubble with his wand. I can never get tired of looking at him...

Good Morning!

Just some random pics of Jeremiah. He looked like he was posing while brushing his teeth. Guess he thinks he's hot stuff!

Fashion Model

Right before we left the house this morning, I remembered that J needed a jacket and reached for this little corduroy blazer. He thinks he's so cute when he wears this. He started posing so of course I got my camera out! I couldn't resist the close-up of his face - love those eyes! Thanks for looking!

Artistic Kid

It's so fun to see Jeremiah's artistic side! I was looking through some pics of M&M's I shot for the POTD Challenge and he was drawing in my lap. I looked down and this is what I found! I threw in the last drawing because it's just so cute. Maybe it's me and him enjoying some M&M's! (Love his "rule of thirds" on #2!) To see what he's drawing, look here: http://myphotochallenges.blogspot.com/2007/03/potd-11-mmmmmmm.html

He's No City Slicker

We didn't get a chance to take many pics when we left town for John's meeting. Jeremiah and I did get a moment to pop in at a little park in the middle of downtown. This was his reaction to all the trucks and cars driving by, their "vrooms" echoing off the tall buildings. I was hoping to get some pics of him in a more "natural" environment but ended up with some very urban shots!
We did have some time to play in a cool little park Monday evening. Jeremiah was so tired from missing his nap he zoned out on the swings while Daddy pushed him.
TFL!

Day at the Park

We took advantage of the sudden warm weather and drove out to Yellow Creek Park on Friday afternoon. Jeremiah had a blast playing around the colored rings but then noticed the water and ducks! So we headed over to the water and he talked to the ducks and wanted to throw leaves into the water. He didn't want to go back to the playground but I eventually convinced him to go with me to the creek. He was so excited to sit and drop leaves into the running water. Why this is so appealing that he can do this for hours? I have no idea. But he loves it so we do it.

We'll be out of town for a couple days so enjoy these until we return!

Thanks for looking in on us! Post a comment and say hello!

As Seen On TV!!!

Anyone who knows John, knows he loves infomercials! He believes that if they say it'll make life easier, it will! And hey, it's a lifetime garantee! It gets contagious, I admit it. I've caved in a couple times myself. Friends of ours found this shirt and knew it was perfect for John. He wore it with pride Wednesday night. This isn't a great pic, but it still makes me laugh. The ball on his head? Not sure. I thought he wanted to shave his head and be bald-headed... maybe he just wanted to be ball-headed? Love that infomercial junkie!

"Banini" Pancakes!

I know, we are strange around here... What do I do with my picky eater? Get creative! This boy LOVES pancakes. So one day sneaky mom over here decided she'd mash up some bananas to get a little extra fruit in him. Hmmm... that went well. Let's try some zuccini! You can hardly taste that... Viola! "Banini" Pancakes! Even John didn't notice the zuccini at first! This has become a staple to our weekly menu. Jeremiah laps them up and I feel better knowing he got some veggies and fruit in him! This has become a fave ritual for us. I whip up some Banini pancakes (add some fresh blueberries to mine!) and we sit and toast our milk then gobble them up! Jeremiah couldn't wait for photography-obsessed mom to snap her shots, he started swiping them off the plate!

Get a Clue!

Jeremiah's latest obsession is watching Blue's Clues. He amuses us by constantly yelling out "A CLUE! A CLUE!" everywhere we go. He spots shapes and letters in random objects, I start to feel like I'm playing Eye Spy to find what "clue" he has found now! I love that he can see the world differently. Some people have to be taught to do this! But today I was able to capture another aspect he's gained by watching that cute little spotty dog... he's learning to draw more! He's always copying my drawings. He is so hungry to learn how to draw things! Here are a few "clues" he learned to draw from watching his new fave buddy: A Box and a Chair! (Can you see the wear on this toy?!)

Camera Sick

You've heard of Camera Shy? Well, I think my son in his ripe old age of nearly three is officially Camera Sick! It's the "avoid eye contact with the photographer at all costs" look. These are the shots I got of him today so I resorted to an inanimate object! I actually liked the last one best! It gives me some hope... Spring is coming!!!!

Still playing...

We've all been feeling kinda puny around here, must be the drastic weather changes - grrr... So, here are a couple more pics that were taken yesterday. You all know how much we adore this child. John and I often find ourselves just staring at him while he plays. I love to watch him draw and wonder what is going through his mind. Especially when he gets these "zoned out" looks!

Just because I think he's cute!

Well, that and I wanted to play with my camera! Here are some pics I shot today while playing!

Thanks for visiting!

** I have moved my "challenges" photos to a separate blog: http://myphotochallenges.blogspot.com/

Little Photographer...

So I'm sitting in the office, checking my e-mail and I hear Jeremiah dragging something down the hall (nothing new). I keep browsing e-mails until I hear "CHEESE!" I turn and this is what I find! He drug the tripod down the hall and positioned it in front of the doorway. He then leans in and composes a shot (with no camera) and keeps telling me "CHEESE!" He would then look at me then try the shot again! I got out my camera and took a pic of him. When the flash went off, he stood up so proud of himself! This kid is hilarious!

POTD #9 I'm a Wife

I'm a wife. Married eight and a half years. I am so thankful to have a supportive hubby who loves me despite my "challenging" characteristics! I love being married and feel so blessed to have a husband who seeks God with his whole heart. It's comforting to know that he seeks the best for me and our family when he seeks Him. I cherish my vows represented by the rings on my finger.
