Jeremiah is on a muffin kick lately. He loves them! And they are so easy to make (when you buy the right bag~ LOL). The other morning we whipped up some chocolate ones and then his second fave - lemon poppyseed.

If you look closely, you can see evidence on his face that he already finger-dipped into the chocolate batter before starting on the lemon ones...

Just had to grab a shot from this perspective! Love the morning hair! LOL And can you believe my soon-to-be 4 year old can still sport his size 2T PJ's?!?! Ever since the diaper left us, it's all we can do to keep pants on the skinny little guy!
He did a fab job filling the baking cups, I think. Even if he made a little mess here and there.
I forgot to take "after" pics. By the time I remembered, the fam already gobbled up most of them and were too full to even pretend a pose for me! LOL

The two grandmas were in a mood to spoil the little guy big time. So he walked away with a new "tractor" complete with a front loader and detachable trailer!

When Daddy popped it into second speed, the only way he could keep up and stay in control was to prop himself up in a half standing position...

We were very surprised to see that he was actually a very skilled driver!

He avoided the vehicles and we thought he was lucky but then he drove right through the swing set and didn't even graze a hanging swing. We were impressed!

And just because we are enjoying the nice weather I am updating the status of my Lilac bush taken on a cold and windy day...

I'm SO ready for warm weather!!!!!

I'm not sure how many parts there will be to this so I'll apologize now if you are already bored!

Here we are at the Nashville Airport, Jeremiah waiting oh-so patiently. He stole Jane's camera to snap a few pics of the plane and other random things from the window...
Then he started taking pics of other waiting passengers. I love his artistic style of posing himself to get his shots! More from the beach... J and Grandma walking along the boardwalk to the sand. He insisted we take a "beach umbrella" with us...
Here I can be on theme - what is this? We thought it was some kind of prop on the roof of the restaurant until it started to squawk!
We saw this alot, you can probably find it on their myspace now...
They wanted to be models on the beach... (LOL)

Jane struck her classic pose and held it as long as she could...

Then went back to posing... Jane amused herself with Jeremiah's bubbles but forgot which direction the wind was blowing until they hit her in the face!

...FREEZING!

But we were determined to dip our feet in and enjoy the experience - any experience - at the beach. Jeremiah had been asking for months and we didn't want to get so close and not go! We picked a day of our vacation and we drove out to the salty sea and braved the cool winds for a glance at the great big Pacific Ocean.

Jeremiah thought it was really neat, he didn't stop smiling for a long time as he took in the soft sand, crashing waves, sea gulls and lots of seaweed!
Jane tried to pretend it was warm...

Katie tried even harder by actually getting into the water... brrrr!
Jane caught a moment between John and I under the pier...

Then there is Jeremiah. All bundled up, digging in the sand with Grandma. He had so much fun playing in the sand with his shovel, sand molds and bucket of water. This is much better than the little sandbox at home!
John spending some quiet time contemplating deep thoughts between tossing rocks and shells into the sea...
Someone else contemplating deep thoughts? Or just contemplating how to get some food from us?
Something happened and there was a frenzy where tons of seagulls swarmed the sea in front of us...
The tootsies of us who dipped in the sea. Jeremiah didn't want to quit playing in the sand and he also still had his socks and shoes on so he didn't make it into this shot...


Sorry it's been forever since I posted! We were gone one week with no internet (YAY and BOO at the same time!). I came home and got very sick. Then spent most of last week getting things back together at home and life in general.

I'll post more pics from vacation but wanted to post a few from our day at the beach. I just upgraded to CS3 from PSE 2.0 (what is that, like the first PS?! Can you upgrade any bigger than that? LOL) so I had a few learning curves just to find some things! I was playing with Jess's Warm Honey Action while seeing how the whole "action" thing worked and thought it was perfect for these images. The lighting (and weather) were very cool and these warmed them up nicely and added a little vintage/nostalgic feeling to them.
