Psalm 73:26

Just for fun...

Daddy loves his little boy! Many times I'll be in another room and Daddy & Jeremiah are playing somewhere in the house. Then things get quiet and not long after this, Daddy calls to me telling me to bring my camera. I can almost always guess it's the two of them snuggled up somewhere. And I was right again! Jeremiah wanted to snuggle with Daddy while watching Sesame Street this morning. Daddy LOVES moments like this! So here they are all cuddled together enjoying fine quality entertainment on Daddy's day off... Did you notice the shag hair-do on my little guy? You've probably been noticing for a few posts now! He hates to get it cut so I let it go way too long. Then before I had a chance to get it cut, we all got sick and I felt like we were tortured enough and why spread it around? So now that we are all feeling better, we drug him out to the mall to get a buzz. He was good as we waited our turn because mommy started the I Spy game. Little did we know we'd be there for what seemed like FOR-EV-ER. And since Jeremiah's latest obsession is I Spy, I'm sure he started to drive everyone else nuts. (Although I did catch some people searching for our items too! LOL)

So there we were finding all sorts of strange things and all the while Jeremiah didn't take off his hood (he knew what was going to happen!). But I did manage to wrestle him into the seat of doom and the lady buzzed off all the shag we called his hair.

After we got home, he played as usual then when after he went potty and hopped up onto the stool to wash his hands, he finally caught a glimpse of himself in the mirror and started crying hysterically, "My hair! My hair! Put it back!!!" He was grabbing at the mega short strands with big ol' crocodile tears pouring down! Poor kid. I finally convinced him he'll get more when it grows out but he was still really upset about it for a while! Once he calmed down, I laughed like crazy about his reaction! (Mean Mommy, I know...)

Here he is with his new 'do' after his evening bath loving on his "Baby Duckie" that he kept telling us "It's SO cute!" He wanted him all wrapped up in the towel and carried him around the house:

When I pulled up the pic, I noticed my reflection in his eye. See my ugly pink preggy jammies? I just love it when this 50mm lens gets the focus spot on... (Jess, this was at 2.5! LOL)
Here is a 100% crop of the same image: But I couldn't be the only one with a camera... Here he is getting ready to take some pics of me with his duck and then me with my camera...
Here is his first shot of me in my ugly jammies... (feel priviledged that I'm letting you see me like this! LOL)
And then me with the camera (his flash reflecting on mine)...

And just a random side note... My SIL bought some clothes for Jeremiah and the new baby last week... I pulled them out and Jeremiah's seemed HUGE! I mean, when did he move up to 4T?!??! Then the newborn outfits seemed so tiny in comparison! It really made things a little more real to me. My 'baby' growing up to a big boy and another little baby boy coming soon. Seeing the clothes together was so strange to me! Is this really happening?

Happy Valentine's Day!

We didn't do anything fancy for Valentine's Day. Jane and Jeremiah exchanged gifts but I think he had more fun helping mommy make some pretty V-Day cupcakes. He dipped his finger in the batter in attempt to pick out a sprinkle in the mix but then decided the batter was pretty yummy too! After a few licks, he went for the spoonful and was so proud of himself! I had some extra batter and then remembered I had some cute little heart pans! So, of course I had to make a couple:
And a close-up of the cute little sprinkles on top:
After dinner, Jeremiah and Jane shared their Valentine's desserts... Cheers!
And then they showed their love for each other with a little sugary hug...

P.S. Thanks for all the comments yesterday! All of these images and yesterday's were taken with my 50mm 1.8 lens.
Have a great weekend!

Winter Wonderland

I just love the look of freshly fallen snow! I love how it all clings to every delicate little branch and turns them long white wispy fingers... Yesterday we woke up to see the beauty in the bright morning light but it wasn't due to pretty, soft snow falling. Everything was covered in ICE. While it was a bummer that Jeremiah couldn't romp around in some fresh powder, the scene made for some really cool pictures that I couldn't resist sharing (especially for all you warm people in CA!)

The ice completely covers each and every part of the branches, kind of like cocoons:

The neighbor's have an evergreen that was not exempt from the icing, each individual needle was covered, it looked really cool!

The icicles were so pretty everywhere, like on this birdhouse:
And this dangling this (I have no idea what it is!) was covered too and looked like some cool jewelry or glass decoration:

School has been out since Monday afternoon (Jane was excited to get out two hours early!). Not sure if there will be school tomorrow either. We got some fluffy snow this morning but it only covered up the glassy ice from yesterday. She's hoping school is cancelled again. It's not enough she got two days off and has a three day weekend coming up? Such a hard life, eh? But it's all good... She and Jeremiah have been having a blast and mommy has been able to sneak in some alone time while they play!

Stay warm!

Random Life Moments...

Sorry I've been MIA - again. We've been down with the flu this time. Oh the fun times at the Fowlers! *note the sarcasm*

So I am just going to post some random pics of what has been going on around here. A couple from before the flu arrived and a few more of us "recovering"!

Jeremiah doesn't bruise easily. He can run break-neck speed into the door knob and not miss a beat and I may never know what happened unless the babysitter spills the beans. But what happened this time? Well, I had just been telling someone how awesome my babysitter was. How great she knows Jeremiah's quirkiness and how she's not afraid to discipline a whiney little 3 year old, how sweet she is to take care of his needs...

And then I come home to this face: Did he fall? Did he jump off the bed? Did a burglar break in and Jeremiah defended with his face? Nope. He ran down the hall to greet Katie when she came over and ran right into her knee. How? I'm not sure, she's not THAT tall. But it happened and she actually had a mark on her knee to prove it (and Daddy saw the whole thing!).

But all is okay, Jeremiah paid her back by riding on her head (careful to hold onto her hair for safety) while she and some other teens put together one of his puzzles:

When we finally started feeling better, we all joined in some fun to help Jeremiah work off some energy and we could work out some frustration from being sick... again. Pool Noodles are just the best things ever! Throw in a styrofoam sword from the dollar store and we're ready to play pirates!

Jeremiah's new favorite sayings include "ARGH!" and "Shiver Me Timbers!"

It's a...

First I want to show you just how cute my little guy was this morning all snuggled up with his baba, just snoozing away:

We went to the Dr. for the ultrasound today. I wasn't sure I wanted to know today so I made a little card for the nurse to put the revealing image in. Then I came home and completed the card based on news...

So I bet you are wondering what it says inside?

Or else you already scrolled down and then went back up to read?

Or I'm just driving you nuts...

So Jeremiah finally opened the card for me.....

YAY! John is thrilled to get another boy and I'm relieved since I couldn't think of a girl's name I liked! LOL John can't wait to rub it in to all the people who have been hounding him about it being a girl!

I went through all the votes and picked out the few "boy" guesses then let Jeremiah pick a name from the hat. And so... *drumroll*...

Jess is the winner! I can mail it to you or give it to you when I see you Tuesday - let me know! Congrats!

Jeremiah was less than interested with the news: His reaction was, "Can I play on the computer?"

Have a blessed weekend! Thanks for visiting!
