Mamarazzi

It was getting late last night and I realized that I hadn't taken a pic of littlest man on his 2 day birthday. What kind of momma am I?

So I snapped a few quick ones before he got mad at me! Here, the "Mama"razzi strikes again!

Before he realized what I was up to... (love the fuzzy hair!)
Photobucket

I can just hear him, "Mom! No more pictures!!!!"
Photobucket

Already bored with mommy & her camera... *YAWN*
Photobucket

And who can resist some teeny tiny newborn lashes?
Photobucket

Maybe one day I'll get some with his little eyes open!

Have blessed week!

Joshua is here!

Joshua Michael arrived at 11:46 am after a quick and easy delivery. He's 8 lbs 1 oz and 20 1/2 inches long. He's got lots of dark hair and doesn't look much like Jeremiah - at least today! I'm sure he'll be changing everyday.

And I'm such a dork. I drag my camera to the hospital, have John get some pics then he takes Jeremiah home and drags the laptop back to the hospital for me and after all that... I forgot the card reader. Go me. So maybe I'll have some pics tomorrow.

I'm feeling really good, much better than when I had Jeremiah. Everything went easily and quickly - praise the Lord! He had some trouble latching on but when he finally got the hang of it he passed out and has been sleeping for almost 4 hours! I couldn't wake him, just for a moment when I tried changing him but when I walked across the room to throw away the diaper, he fell back asleep! They are giving him another bath in hopes he'll wake up again and be ready to try nursing again.

Jeremiah isn't totally interested in Joshua but he's not bothered by him either. He said Joshua must be very sad because he screamed a lot at first. But when Jeremiah sings, Joshua gets quiet so I told him his songs make him happy and now he'll sing to him. I LOVE IT!

Check in again tomorrow and hopefully I'll have some pics to post! *Smooches*

Restless!

I'm so restless! I can't eat or drink anything because I'll be heading to the hospital at 3am to be induced and I'm DYING for a huge glass of ice water! Well, obviously I'm not really dying, but I SO want something to drink!!! That coupled with I cannot get comfy for anything and knowing I only have a few hours to sleep makes me want to try harder to sleep! After a couple hours of tossing and turning, I decided to just get up. I have some pics I wanted to blog so I might as well do that now, right?

Between all the folks in my photography group, there are a ton of maternity pics! I haven't gone through them all but here are a few from Sam Janosa that she took the week before the group got a hold of us!

We started out trying to get some maternity pics but ended up with some fun family ones! Wonder why Daddy doesn't have much hair these days...
Photobucket

Not sure why we all got so serious suddenly! But aren't we a cute family?
Photobucket

And just a random shot of my little guy on his tractor. I took this pic a while ago and never posted it so it goes in today to fit in with the "summer" theme this week!
Photobucket

Thanks for visiting!! Next post will include pics of the newest addition to our family! Keep an eye out!

Summer Fun

Tuesday is Daddy's day off and we declare it "Family Day!" We start off sleeping in and lounging around snuggling and playing. Then we go to lunch and run any errands or just find something fun to do.

Our family fave place to eat is Real Hacienda for some authentic Mexican Food. YUM YUM! We always let Jeremiah pick where to eat and he always says "Rice and Chips!" We don't argue because we love it too.

I finally remembered to bring along my camera and snapped a quick shot of my boys enjoying our family ritual:
Photobucket

And just some random pics from the other day like barefoot summer:
Photobucket

Jeremiah loves to drag out all the plastic food and line it up on the picnic table...
Photobucket

Then he tells me about all the "ingredients" he needs to concoct his latest lunch creation...
Photobucket

His latest thing is that he cannot go outside without his "jungle hat" on. If he is without, he'll walk around with one hand on his head. ???

He spotted something...
Photobucket

A bunny!
Photobucket

Off to catch it...
Photobucket

He didn't catch it but he was excited and said "That was close!"

Later that evening we caught some fireflies! I switched back and forth between calling them lightning bugs and fireflies and Jeremiah now calls them lightning flies!

Here he is counting how many we caught...
Photobucket

He thought they were the coolest thing and wanted me to catch every last one in the yard!
Photobucket

These little boogers are hard to take a pic of when glowing! I had to turn the lights out to get them to glow and then hoped to get lucky!
Photobucket
Bumped up ISO and lots of grain from trying to brighten them but hey, we caught the memory, right?

Thanks for visiting!

More Playground Fun!

Because the fun never ends!

Katie came over to stay with me while John was away at a conference and it wasn't long before J got her into his little clubhouse! He loves the tower...
Photobucket

(And loves Katie too!)...
Photobucket

Jeremiah loves to take all the plastic food out to the picnic table and then they started a new game of rolling all the food down the slide into the basket...
Photobucket

But if you miss, you have to run down and pick it up then climb back up again. It's the compulsive side he gets from Daddy...
Photobucket

Katie just along for the ride! She loves it and is secretly jealous of J's fake food supply...
Photobucket

Then Katie got an urge to bake a carrot cake and Jeremiah decorated with candles and declared it Daddy's B-day (it's not and he's probably not thrilled with adding on extra years so soon!). Here they are singing 'Happy Birthday'...
Photobucket

Only five days left of our family of three... or four if you count Katie... or five if you count Jane... oh, who's counting anyway?!?!?

Spoiled!

When you're an only child and your only cousin is almost 20 years old, you tend to get a little spoiled. Jeremiah was blessed with a new play structure and couldn't wait to get it up! He woke up to our friends getting an early start on the project. He ran outside in his PJ's and tried really hard to not interfere. He calls it his "playground"!

Waiting patiently...
Photobucket

It's halfway up! Jeremiah wanting so badly to help...
Photobucket

After lunch an a nap, he went outside in hopes it was completed. "Is it ready?"...
Photobucket

Waiting for the finishing touch - the slide! How long must a little guy wait...
Photobucket

FINALLY!!! Here he gets ready for the first go down the sliding board...
Photobucket

Wheeee! It's as fun as he imagined!
Photobucket

The lookout tower is pretty cool too! Hmmm... what about those swings over there?
Photobucket

Yup, this is fun too!
Photobucket

Jeremiah LOVES it - Thanks Aunt Leanne & Uncle Mike!!! And thanks to Jimbo & his crew for putting it together! We've been out playing on it everyday so there are more pics to come of his "playground" adventure!

**And did you see the ticker? Only 6 (or less!) days to go!!!!

Stuff and An Update!

Just hanging out in the yard and found these over my neighbor's fence...
Photobucket

I liked how it looked from the tip...
Photobucket

Also saw this little guy...
Photobucket

Looked up and saw this...
Photobucket

But then looked over and saw this...
Photobucket

And today I walked past the bathroom mirror and caught a glimpse of this...
Photobucket
My "torpedo"belly. It made me laugh so I returned with my camera.

***UPDATE: Went to the Dr. today for my 37 week check up. 50% effaced and 2cm dialated. The Doc didn't want Joshua to get too big so if he doesn't come sooner, his induction day is scheduled for June 27th! Just two weeks away! Start counting down with me...

Everyday Is Full Of Fun...

Jane arrived Safely to Hawaii where she will spend a few days with some family before heading home to her Parents for the summer. We said goodbye to her Thursday morning but Wednesday night we all had some final fun time together. Jeremiah loves hotels and was more than excited and wound up by the time we got there that night. He learned he can jump from one bed to the next...
Photobucket

A shot of our "kids" - Jane, Jeremiah & Katie:

Some last minute cuddling:
Photobucket

Jeremiah is really going to miss playing with Jane. The two artists:
Photobucket

One last smoochie (but don't take your eyes off the TV!):
Photobucket

A couple nights later, we had some teens over for a Bible study and then they decided Jeremiah's swords were just too tempting so some headed outside for a pirate adventure:
Photobucket

Jeremiah was right there in the middle of it all:

Photobucket

While we were out there, I noticed that Jeremiah's cucumbers were already peeking through. WOW, that was fast! It was getting dark quickly and I was too lazy to go back inside to get my external flash so I used the on-board pop-up flash to capture the tiny plant emerging:

Photobucket

Then can you believe it?!?!? This was taken the VERY NEXT DAY. I was shocked at how fast this little booger was growing. Jeremiah is very excited! Some still had seeds attached to the leaves and Jeremiah picked a seed off and said "Can we eat the cucumbers?" as he put it in his mouth. YUCK! As picky as he is, he did not seem to mind! This cucumber breed must be on steroids... but then, what do I know about gardening? This is probably normal! Can't wait until tomorrow! And I think I need to get them out of this pot!
Photobucket

And this one is just because my little guy cracks me up. The doves were cooing and Jeremiah ran up and yelled, "Hello, Owl!" And tried to chase them (He thinks they must be owls because of the sound they make, they are't making 'chirping' sounds!). They flew in circles around the yard letting him "chase" them. He had a blast!
Photobucket

Have a blessed weekend!!!

She's Leaving on a Jet Plane...

We are leaving tonight for Nashville as Jane's flight leaves really early tomorrow morning. I snapped a few last shots of her in her room before we get too busy this evening. She will be gone for about 2 months visiting her family in Korea and will be back just barely in time for school to start this fall.

I'm not thrilled with the BW conversion but was in a hurry to post this before we left tonight! But I did use flash on them all so I'm on theme!

Photobucket

Her refection in the mirror:
Photobucket

She said "I'm going to miss my bed!!!"
Photobucket

She loves to pose for me!
Photobucket

Her bags, packed and ready to go! She's not taking them all this trip, just the two in front!
Photobucket

We'll miss you, Janie!
