My New Babysitter...

More random snaps from our silly little lives...

My brother gave us a web cam waaaay back in April and we never got it put up. He gave one to my mom (remember she lives like 2000 miles away?) and she never put hers up either. What's wrong with us? We FINALLY got them installed and we all signed up on Skype to video chat online. And let me tell you... WE LOVE IT!

At first Jeremia went nuts at being able to see himself on the screen. He danced around the room and ran around like a crazy person pretending to run into the walls and furniture (he likes to play "falling down" - that is another post all on it's own!). So he's going bonkers and I'm holding up the baby and my mom just stares at them both. I think she could sit and stare at them all day but my preschooler was driving me crazy and the baby was getting heavy! I really need to just hog tie Jeremiah and prop up the baby in front of the camera so she can stare and I can fold laundry and do dishes... nah. I'd probably just nap. lol

Photobucket

So we get online to talk to Halmony again today and Jeremiah and her start drawing. It was so fun to see them "play" together! Bossy britches would tell her what to draw and then both would draw and then hold up their pictures for each to see and ooh and ahh. It was really so sweet! I was talking to Grandma on the phone and telling her about it and the two artists happened to be drawing Grandma. So then Jeremiah decides they need to draw Grandma "on a scooter"!!! Well, I cracked up! So I had to scan his picture and she promised to save hers so we can show Grandma how cool she is on a scooter! He explained that she is scootering in the rain (complete with lighting and a rain cloud) and that scribble off to the right? He said it was a broken leg! LOL Love his imagination, but poor Grandma:

Photobucket

I went to take a shower and asked my mom to watch Jeremiah for me. They played for almost an hour altogether today! No, I didn't leave her to babysit Jeremiah (daddy was home today), it just seemed like it! haha!

And I just have to share this because they are so stinkin cute! This little girl is 2 months older than Joshua and her mom was telling me about this cute little onesie she found for her. A week later, she found one for Joshua so we dressed them up and took their pic together:

Photobucket

Her shirt says: Cute little girl seeking adorable little boy. Must have hair and love strained veggies. No mama's boys please.

And his says: Adorable little boy seeking precious little girl. Must love naps and have her own stroller. Crawlers welcome.

Aren't they just perfect for each other? Forget about e-harmony! LOL

Oh and I just love her little socks, they look like shoes! Too cute!

Thanks for visiting!!

Grand Love

My Mother-In-Law hasn't been feeling well for months now and has not gotten out of the house much, even before little Joshua was born. So we go to visit them when both boys are decently content at the same time!

Jeremiah followed up on his usual routine and wandered upstairs to play with my niece's old toys - Barbies! HAHA! Actually, he doesn't play with the dolls, just plays with all the food and furniture items. Arranging them in the fridge, on the table, around the big Barbie house... My niece is almost 20 so she's not using it lately.

I decided that I wasn't going to wait for the Grandparents to look their best, time was wasting and the kids were not staying young like I hoped. I couldn't round up Jeremiah for this brief photo shoot but I did snag some Grand love on the new little guy!

Here is Papaw enjoying the latest Fowler Boy:

Photobucket
I treasure this because my Father-In-Law was an only child and his only male cousin didn't have any children to pass on the Fowler name. So my Dear Hubby was the last male to carry on the family name until Jeremiah and now Joshua! I'm glad we're able to start spreading out the name a little more again!

And this next one I treasure because I am reminded that these two are 80 years, 1 week and 1 day apart in age. Wow, huh? Hubby was born later in her life and Joshua was born later in his (he'll get me for saying that! ha!) and so the gap just increased greatly pretty easily! I was secretly hoping he'd be born on her B-day - wouldn't that be the coolest?
Photobucket

And I LOVE this image of her hand with his, it just speaks so much to me...

Thanks for visiting and thanks for all the votes on yesterday's blog. The family put in their votes too and seems everyone likes the same ones! Thanks again for all the comments!

Finally!

Finally some pics of Jeremiah that are more than snapshots! He wasn't overly cooperative and the hardest thing was getting decent eye contact - he did not want to sit still! Most of the time his idea of eye contact was aiming his face towards me but his eyes were always facing elsewhere! Oh well. I'll take what I can get from this busy little 4 year old!

Which one do you like best?

Daddy goggles here, this is the one he liked best (but no eye contact *sigh*):
Photobucket

Isn't he so sweet and innocent in this next one? Don't let it fool you, I think I just got lucky!
Photobucket

My little goof, look at him posing! LOL
Photobucket

I think this last one might be my fave but I've got mommy goggles on!
Photobucket

Cast your vote for your fave! (You lurkers post your fave too, I want to hear from you!!!)

Thanks everyone for all the comments (I love comments!!) And to respond to some of your comments from this past week...

Jess - We so need that pirate t-shirt! lol

Heather - Your words are so sweet! Compliments from you mean a lot to me!!! I have come to find I prefer my images to be less processed and just more like real life. I love the freshness of color (especially when documenting my kids lives) but I also love a little B&W now and then when I'm feeling like it's gonna be a classic.

"Auntie" Mandy (lol)- Yes! I feel like Joshua is like an old soul sometimes. I even call him my little old man sometimes! Just something about him... funny you noticed too!

Jordan - Compliments fom you mean a ton too!!! I'm so not that great with little ones, I'm always in awe of how you can chase the kids and are able to capture such amazing images. I suppose I have been lucky in capturing baby Joshua like I wanted because there is less pressure, it I don't get it right now, I can try again later - he's always attached/accessible!

If anyone else has any questions, I'd love to hear from you!

Have a blessed week!!!

Are you tired of looking at him yet?

Because I'm not! Here are some random ones I took the other day.

Didn't get anything fancy, just a deer-in-the-headlights shot... "What was that sudden bright light?!":
Photobucket

A "What is that thing on your face, Mommy?" shot:
Photobucket

And a "Put that thing away, already!" shot:
Photobucket

And some outtakes like these...

"Um, mom... I can't sit up yet, can you give me a break?!"
Photobucket

"I lean to the right..." (lol)
Photobucket

I took some of Jeremiah tonight so I'll have something to post tomorrow of him.

Thanks for visiting! Leave us some love!

One Month Old!

Joshua turned One Month old today! Time flies!

I loved Jordan's idea of taking a pic of the little man on each month B-day with something that will show off how big he's getting. I chose the Tonka Truck - can you get any more boy that that?

Happy Birthday Little Buddy!

A Pirate Adventure!

Jeremiah loves piratey things! Daddy came home from lunch and they broke out the foam swords and donned the pirate hats (and hook!) to have a quick pirate adventure!

(Excuse the messy room, a four year old with lots of stuff he likes to pile everywhere lives in here!)

ARGH!
Photobucket

This cracked me up... I was trying to get a shot of Daddy with the telescope when Jeremiah hit it and it poked Daddy in the eye! Oops!

The last pirate standing...

Until the next treasure is found... thanks for visiting!

Little Boy Blue...

... is 4 weeks old today!

Photobucket

And I'm lovin' all the new chub rolls he's getting!

Happiness is...

...when both boys lay down for a nap at the same time - now Mommy can get one too!

Still playing catch-up... here is my little papoose:

Some Brotherly Love...

I'm so behind with posting! Things have been a little busy around here... good but busy!

Last week I was snapping a few pics of little J in his crib to document his ever changing self...
Photobucket

And big brother agreed to help me. I got him to climb into the crib (I think he had been wanting to anyway!) and he actually agreed to hold Joshua! So of course I got a little snap happy!!!

Jeremiah has always been leary about interacting with Joshua. He seems a bit scared of him, as if he just doesn't know what to do. He is never hateful or mean to him, he never tells us to get rid of him... he just doesn't have much to do with him. So I was pretty excited he was interested this particular night!

Check out how cautious and stiff Jeremiah is while holding him:
Photobucket

Mommy: "Can you give him a little kiss?":
Photobucket

Jeremiah: "Hmmm.... that wasn't so bad":
Photobucket

"I might actually like this big brother thing!":
Photobucket

I even got him to give him a little tickle:
Photobucket
I think one day they will be great friends!

"Halmoni"

My mom came to visit and help with the transition of our newest little addition to the family. Both of the boys loved having her here - lots of spoiling! Before she left, we made sure to get some pics of her with them. Seems whenever we see her, we never find time to stop and get decent shots of them together. So we made sure to get some this time!!!

"Halmoni" is Korean for "Grandmother" and that is what Jeremiah calls her. We took her to the airport today and Jeremiah already misses her (as do I!). He's already asking to go to her house. I think Joshua misses her too, whenever she picked him up, he immediately cuddled up and went to sleep!

Here are a few of the shots we got of her with the boys:
Photobucket

Photobucket

Jeremiah wasn't up for any "serious" posed shots but we were happy to get these with him:
Photobucket

We miss you, Halmoni!!!

More Random moments from our lives...

It's been smothering hot lately and I didn't want to drag Joshua to the boiling hot park so we took Jeremiah to the Museum to burn off some energy in the PlayZeum Playground. There was hardly anyone there except a few older kids so Jeremiah didn't have any other kids to play with but he still had a blast playing tag, climbing & sliding with Mommy and Daddy.

Not the best pic but I love that he still has some "baby" left in those cheeks:
Photobucket

Running through the tunnels:
Photobucket

There aren't very many exhibits for the little ones and half of it was under construction but Jeremiah still had fun playing with what was there like the puppet playhouse and the magnets:
Photobucket

And of course, the legos. Love how serious he plays! lol
Photobucket

Grandma has been knitting and Jeremiah found her needles deserted for a moment. I guess he thought he'd finish the job. He also takes this seriously:
Photobucket

And his latest favorite-thing-to-do-that-drives-mommy-nuts is to get all the toys (and other random things) from around the house, pile them up around him in his room and then play with a little bit of everything at the same time. Look at this MESS!!!
Photobucket

And even though Jeremiah plays with lots of special sound effects he creates and lots of crashing of toys falling over and people going "overboard" in the "stormy seas", Joshua manages to sleep contently on the other side of the room. Someone is starting to chub up a bit and gaining weight takes a lot out of a little guy!
Photobucket

We think he looks less and less like Jeremiah each day, how about you?

Family Fun

Little J conked out in the crib while Big J and I played with all the toys he piled up on the floor. Even with all the playing craziness and noise, he kept sleeping!
Photobucket

We got very silly and Jeremiah posed for me with his binoculars...
(This pic just cracks me up with the little nostrils and the buggy looking eyes!)
Photobucket

Then he decided he decided he needed to take some pics and said "Put the camera around my neck!" So I helped hold onto the camera while he aimed, focused and shot pics of his toys...
Photobucket
Not bad, eh? Rule of thirds, great color, fabulous bokeh and look at those catchlights! lol

Then he wanted us to take pics together and the 50mm lens was a little too long to get us both in when I attempted to take it at arm's length so we jumped on the bed to use the mirror.

Me and the Monkey...
Photobucket

Then Daddy got in on the fun and they wrestled and ended up with a new game of Jeremiah standing on Daddy then jumping up and landing on his back. While Daddy moaned thinking about the fun feeling he'd have in the morning, Jeremiah said "Oh, you'll be okay!" and kept jumping...
Photobucket

Photobucket

A little Mommy Brag time! Jeremiah came in to tell me a story he wrote. He flipped through the pages of his little doodle book telling me all about the images and how they all fit together in his story. I thought this pirate ship with "stormy skies" was pretty impressive!
Photobucket

And just another snuggly shot of my littlest man. This may be my current fave...
Photobucket
(This counts as on theme, right? Rule of Thirds!)

Thanks for stopping by!

***And just for fun: Jeremiah loves to visit this website and he's been singing this song and it's stuck in my head now! It's so cute and we just giggled and giggled for a long time while we watched this little video: Boowa & Kwala - Beep Beep! And our other Fave we sing all the time: Boowa & Kwala - We Are!

Got Milk?

This is Joshua while still in his Milk Coma...

Photobucket

And here is one of Big J from the other night...

We gave him a cupcake earlier and he really enjoyed it, enough to go and get another one when it struck him. I asked him, "You liked it so much you stole another one?" and this was his reply:

<Photobucket

It was kind of hard to stay mad about it with Daddy giving in to the burst of laughter! (That also made it hard for me to keep from laughing!)

Love my boys!
