Flying Practice...

Ever wonder how Superman got started?

Superkid Superkid

Mommy Moment: Jeremiah had all his toys all over his room and I opened the door and said "Look at this mess!" Jeremiah's defense was "Yes, but it's SO pretty!"

Three Months Old!

Already, can you believe it???
3 Months!

3 Months!

Here are the older ones in the Tonka Truck series:

One Month

Mommy Moment: I just finnished giving Joshua a bath and was wrapping him up in the towel when Jeremiah walked in. He looked at Joshua then put his hands on his hips and said, "Mommy, you can't get Joshua wet!"

Long Time Friends...

Isn't it odd that when you get together with your high school friends, you seem to pick up where you left off? T came to visit and suddenly it's strange that I'm old enough to have been married 10 years and have kids! T is travelling with her family across country in a last cool vacation before settling in her new location (which is even FARTHER away, boo!). What a fun surprise that she is able to stop by and visit us for a few days while she is passing through this part of the country! Of course we had to have a mini session with her and her two beautiful nieces!

Miss T: Funky, Fun and Full of Energy! Here she is working the camera...

Her gorgeous niece, Miss K (who was like 4 when I last saw her!):

And the most adorable Miss K#2!

Her and Jeremiah hit it off right away and he's had a blast playing with her! When he'd forget her name, he'd call her "Little Sister" although she's 2 years older!

Here we forgot his hat so he ran around with his hand on his head. When will he get over this???? At least I got him out of the Superman PJ's...

Mommy Moment: My MIL hasn't been feeling well for a while. Jeremiah really wanted to see her and it perked her up for him to come over. I told Jeremiah that G-ma was sick and we were going to visit. We walked in and he said "Grandma, are you sick?" She smiled and said yes. Then he said "Where are you sick?" She giggled and pointed to her head and her chest. He snuggled up close, put one hand on her head and one on her chest and prayed, "Jesus, make it all better. Amen." I'm so in love with my little Jeremiah...

BFF...

For those who don't remember this, BFF = Best Friends Forever. We actually used to also say "ILY BiFF!" for "I Love You, Best Friend Forever!" Isn't high school fun? lol See, we were texting without phones even! haha!

Here are some pics Jane took one night. I was feeding Joshua but didn't want to miss these moments so I told her to grab the camera. I cherish all of their time together and wish I could store it up in a bottle to savor for the rest of our lives...

Jeremiah has an incredible bond with Grandma. He is four now and she turned 80 this year. But even so, the two are like best buddies. They are just so happy together. She seems to come alive when Jeremiah comes over and all her aches, pains and ails seem to disappear while he is there. And he adores her too. He begs to visit and wants to stay all day long. He's got a thing for Papaw too! Jeremiah can't seem to get enough of them. And I wouldn't have it any other way!

Left these snapshots unedited. Lots of busy colors and patterns but B&W took the life out of them so I left them SOOC.

Jeremiah bossing Grandma, probably telling her what finger she is wrapped around!

Snuggle, giggle, wrestling time!

"No! It's MY cup, Grandma!!!" (more giggling)

I love how happy they are together:

Love it!!!

Mommy Moment: It was approaching bedtime and Jeremiah wanted to stay up and play with Daddy more. Daddy gave in to a few more minutes and not long after that J let out a huge yawn. Daddy sarcastically said, "Sounds like some one is really tired. Wonder who that can be?" Jeremiah surprised us with his sleepy reply, "It's me, Daddy!" So off to bed he went, quietly and cooperatively!

K1 and K2...

Or is it Thing One and Thing Two? (Remember that book?)

More nagging -this time by Katie! Nags me to take pics, then nags me to post pics, nag nag nag... but it's okay. Maybe. Or not. We'll see. It will depend on if she calls me for ice cream next time she goes...

So here are my latest victims, the beautiful Miss K's:

I'll get more up... some day!

Mommy Moment: I set Joshua in his crib for some belly time and left for a moment to the next room. When I came back, I found him in the corner looking up at me...
YAY!
He rolled over! Yay! He didn't seem to know what had happened! lol

Thanks for visiting!

Overload of Brother Pics...

Not the best pics, just some snapshots of our crazy life...

Again, a morning ritual is to snuggle up on the bed together. I went to get something in the next room and came back to Jeremiah talking to Joshua. So of course I went back and got my camera to sneak up on them...
Brothers

Joshua was waving his arms so Jeremiah gave him a high five...
Brothers

Jeremiah thought it was pretty cool!

Jeremiah knows Joshua loves it when you play with his legs...
Brothers

They both think I'm nuts...
Brothers

But they're happy!
Joshua

And having fun!
Jeremiah

Okay, so I guess they can look alike... BORED. (tee hee hee)
Brothers

And you know what? It's really hard to take a pic while standing on the bed and the lens that was on your camera when you grabbed it to not miss the moment is your 50mm. I'm just not tall enough so I had to hold it over my head and hope for the best... (this was not the best! lol)
Brothers

I wanted their feet together but Jeremiah didn't want their feet to touch and would keep moving away from Joshua so this is all I get this time...
Brothers

Love my boys!!!

Mommy Moment: At church Sunday night, Jeremiah got a little restless and found Joshua's blanket in the car seat. He decided Joshua was cold and tucked him in. Then he told him to close his eyes over and over and over until I quieted him and told him Joshua wasn't really that sleepy yet. He tried again a few minutes later and whispered a lullaby to him. Then he gave him a kiss on the forehead and a little hug saying "Night-Night!" The little old ladies in church swooned. So much for John's message that night!

Mommy's Crazy's Ideas...

So there was this one day I decided take some pics of Joshua in these cute little overalls because they were Jeremiah's. It didn't go at all like I planned. Me and my crazy ideas...

I set him in Jeremiah's recliner (yes, it actually reclines!) and he gave me this bored look. I think he looks like the snotty therapist picking at his nails, bored with listening to your problems!

"So what you're telling me is..."
Bored

"Whee! Mommy let me lay on the couch instead!"
Whee!

Doin' the happy dance...
Ha-ay!

And dagummit! I chopped off his hand in this next one. My excuse is that I was standing on the couch, trying to keep my balance and not knock him off in the process! But he's so stinkin' cute I think I'll keep it anyway...
Joshua

And the B&W version...
Joshua B&W

Mommy Moment: Jeremiah loves to play "falling down." This is the game where he pretends to run into the wall and fall over, or he pretends to trip over random objects (or nothing) and falls head over heels with lots of grunting and crashing sounds. (I hear his daddy loved this game as a child too...) So I am folding laundry (does it ever end?!?!) and we're watching Boo! on Qubo. 'Growling Tiger' tells us to pretend to drive the racecar with him so I encourage Jeremiah to join me by putting his hands on the "wheel" and drive really fast. He usually just stares at me when I try to get him to pretend play along with the TV. As if, mom. Me and my crazy ideas... As soon as the light turned green for us to start driving, Jeremiah grabs the "wheel" and 'floors it' then turns sharply and crashes, tumbling off the recliner yelling "Oh no! I crashed! Ahhhh!!!!!" as he went. But of course you did, Evel Knievel...

Good News, Bad News, and some other stuff...

I'm so behind with blogging images of our lives. I'm hoping to catch up with the boys pics before they graduate high school... YIKES.

Good News! I got a new haircut a couple weeks ago. Complete with some red highlights. If you know me, I never do the highlight thing, hair styling is so unimportant to me I'd never keep up with getting them touched up! A friend (thanks Ginger!) gave me the new do and I tried to take a pic of it. But since I'm doing the MySpace hold-the-camera-out-at-arms-length picture thing, I ended up looking like a bobble head. Can you say HUGE forehead? Someone tell me it's not that bad in real life. Please?! Oh and look how flat my hair is - it's actually full of body in this pic! haha!
Bobble Head Jo
Actually, it's a little longer. There are some layers that must be behind my back in this pic. I think I like it shorter looking and may have to call her to come and chop those longer layers off... what do you think?

And some Bad News... I got an e-mail a couple weeks ago:

Dangerous Chocolate Cake!!!
This is so dangerous because within 5 minutes you will be endulging in every girl's favorite - chocolate!

Chocolate Mug Cake
1 Coffee Mug
4 tablespoons cake flour (Or sift 1 cup all-purpose flour and 2 tbsn cornstarch to make cake flour, then use only 4 tbsn of it!)
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons baking cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
Small splash of vanilla
Have some whipped cream or vanilla ice cream handy!

Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly. Pour in the milk and oil and mix well. Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla, and mix again. Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts. The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed! Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired. EAT! (This can serve 2 if you want to share!)

Seriously, it's WAY too easy! Check out my latest fave snack:
Cake In A Cup
Cut in half with some whipped cream on top:
Dangerous Chocolate Cake
Bad, I tell ya... just bad!

On a lighter note - some long, sleepy baby lashes:
Baby Long Lashes

So not fair for my little boys to have such thick, gorgeous lashes when there are little girls dreaming about them all over the world! Just think, you'd never need mascara!

Mommy Moment: Ever have one of those days? I set Joshua down in front of a toy that has some animals that dance and sing when you hit them. Being a good mommy, I sang the words along with the music as I folded the clothes to relieve the guilt of not interacting with him every single waking moment of his day (lol). "All around the carpenter's bench, the monkey chased the weasle..." I thought I could be supermom and gather all the neatly folded towels in my arms and make just one trip to put them away instead of two. So here I am singing along, "...and Pop! Goes the Weasle!" Yup, there went the towels. Guess what I got to do again? *sigh*

There are lots more, I'm still not done! Hope you like what you see so far...

Someone asked to see this in a Brownish B&W:

And to keep my mom happy, I'll post one of the kids too.

Mommy Moment:I recorded Jeremiah being silly on my little camera and he thought he was hilarious. One of our morning rituals is to all pile in the bed together and snuggle and play. Jeremiah wanted to share the video with Joshua so he tucked him in and set the camera in front of him and played it over and over. So I snuck a quick snap before Jeremiah caught me with the camera again:
Brothers

Yes, Mother...

Yes, I've been nagged again by my mother that she wanted to see her grandkids and not someone else's kid (sorry, Katie!).

So here are some from a random morning with my littlest man...

Hmmm... I can see more when I hold my head up!
Joshua

What in the world is that bright light I keep seeing when mommy hides behind that black thing?
Joshua

Enough, Mommy, give me the camera...
Joshua

Don't make me come over there!!!
Joshua

Mommy Moment: A few weeks ago we took Joshua in for his 2 month check-up and the Dr. asked Jeremiah if he was a good big brother. "Mmm-Hmm..." he shyed away from her questions - he was still recovering from his last visit which included shots! As the Dr continued with the exam, Joshua began to get a little fussy at her poking his belly. Jeremiah immediately started singing a little song I made up for him that Jeremiah and I sing when he gets upset. Joshua always calms down when Jeremiah sings to him and the Dr thought it was cute. She commented on what a great brother Jeremiah was to which he replied, "Now give the baby a shot!" lol

To The Farm!

We went to visit my Sister&Brother-In-Law's farm and it was just so beautiful out! I loved all the green everywhere and it's always more peaceful than the BIG city of Owensboro. *note sarcasm*

I can't seem to ever get a good shot of the horses. But it's not their fault, aren't they beautiful?
Horses

We took Jeremiah's tractor so he could really ride it on a farm! Here he is waving to Farmer Mike:

Superman also stopped to feed the goats, one of his favorite things to do when we visit:
Feeding Goats

Can't pass up a wish stick! Jeremiah doesn't get enough wind behind his blowing so he just shakes it around to get the seeds to fly:
Wish Stick

Mommy Moment: Jeremiah, like other kids, is often told he can't play with certain things because it can cause harm. Things like the outlets, the stove, running through a parking lot... One night he wasn't interested in giving up playtime to go to bed. When I said it was time to brush his teeth he said, "I can't brush my teeth... it's so dangerous!"
