Surprise!

It was so fun to surprise a great friend yesterday! The boys and I joined Jeannette and her daughter on a playdate with Jess and her Little Miss K! Jess knew Jeannette was coming but didn't know she invited us to tag along! It was so good to see them both again and blessings were passed all around. Friends are so fun!

In honor of Jess, I used her Warm Honey action on this image - more fun!

Jess, you have the biggest heart - thanks for sharing it (and your home!) with us! Love ya!

Splish Splash...

... Jeremiah was taking a bath - outside!

This is from MONTHS ago. I'm a slacker about posting stuff, aren't I?

I was cleaning the ick off the kiddie pool one day while Joshua napped and Jeremiah thought it was so funny to see it full of bubbles. So I added more bubbles and he hopped in to help me give it a good scrub and he had some good, clean fun!

Sudsy Sunshine...

Bathing Beauty...

Now what?

That Other Kid?

Yes, I really do have another kid. I know you haven't seen him much on the blog lately but he really does exist! It's just that when a little guy follows you around EVERY.MOMENT.OF.THE.DAY you find he's much easier to get a shot of. That and the other one runs from the mere thought of mom with a camera.

BUT...

I decided to snag a few shots of Jey even if he wasn't doing anything earth shaking or amazingly adorable. So here he is doing what he loves to do these days...

Playing Crash Bandicoot on the Playstation:

And playing Legos and pirates in his "cave":

Still my little sweetness:

The Many Faces Of Joshua...

The many faces have to include his stuntman faces. You know, the ones that are covered in bruises and cuts from his Evel Knievel stunts. This time I have no idea what happened. It was one of those mommy moments where I found myself in the bathroom by myself - no one followed me! I cherished it for a millisecond before I realized that with Joshua on the loose it may not be a good thing.

I was right.

Just then I hear the screaming. Not just the "brother stole my toy" scream but the "I got an ouchie" scream which Joshua hardly ever does. This kid is tough as nails, I tell ya!

I still have no idea what happened but it happened in the hall with their little wooden stool. I looked him over and got him calmed down but it was not until 5 minutes later that this showed up. How did I miss this?!

Whatever happened, he was all right with the world after just a couple minutes but Mommy felt so bad she let him have a few Jellybellies to make up for it...

"Enough with the documentary, Mom."

{Mommy Moment}

Joshua was digging around in the office and found the empty boxes of all my camera equipment and decided to build. He stopped and examined the box for my camera and then smiled real big and pointed to me as if to say "Hey, this is your other face, isn't it?" lol

Good Morning!

Where did you have your breakfast this morning?

I Saw The Light...

Jeremiah has been singing David Crowder's version of this song NON-STOP for days (weeks?) and it still cracks me up.
It's so much fun it'll get your feet going and you'll have this song in your head the rest of the day. Check it out if you dare!

But that has nothing to do with this post. :)

I was thinking about how I haven't taken many pics of the kids lately and as I glanced out the window I saw some golden evening light in the yard. So I grabbed my camera and the nearest kid (the one always dying to go outside!) and we headed out. But all those beautiful, glorious images I had in my mind were interrupted with the reality of my toddler's curiosity.
Oh, well... it is him as he is!

My little Curious George:

"What light, Momma?"

"Joshua, don't touch it."

"What? This?"

"Hmmmmm.... what can I get into over there?"

Stinker.

It's Nice To Get Away...

Where someone else does the cooking and the cleaning. Am I right?

Someone else is pretty thrilled with the whole thing too...

Joshua just thought it was all hilarious...

(he even loved the travel size toothpaste box)

I caught Jeremiah checking himself out in the mirror...

Joshua taking in the view from the 4th floor one rainy morning...

We had lots of fun together times and I didn't get my camera out much. We made memories more than we captured them and it was alright with me. I like to spend lots of time snuggling with my boys than shooting them. Most days. lol

We ended the week with the uber fabulous Jessica Bell snapping some family pics of us. She is a big bit of awesome and it was a lot of fun. You can catch a sneaky peeky of us here: Fowler Family

Us...

We celebrated 11 years of marriage this month. Can you believe it?

Here we are, living our happily ever after...

Love you, Baby!
