One morning I was able to catch my guys all snuggling together...



I {heart} my guys!

A morning conversation...

I had such an itch to keep my hands busy this winter! So when I took a break from editing (which didn't seem like very often!), I grabbed a skein of yard and worked on something - anything! Here is my overflowing basket of yarn, projects & knitting things...



Jeremiah wanted to try the Knifty Knitter Loom so we got a little one and he picked out some yarn. Then he helped me make this scarf for Grandma...


I also spent a lot of time with my "big girl" needles working on little hats for props and tried my hand with a set of circular needles to make an infant cocoon with this fabulous color...


I also wanted to use my sewing machine so I got the brilliant idea of making a bold pink pettiskirt for a toddler girl. It used a LOT of pieces!

And required lots and lots of ruffling...

But it was so much fun! Here is a work in progress but look at how fluffy the ruffles make it...




Maybe living in a home full of males I needed to satisfy the girly in me? I'm not very girly so this project might be enough to fulfill me for a few more months. Now I'll sign off and play cars with my boys!

Ever get this look?


Morgan is getting very old, she will be 14 this summer. She gets grumpier with each year and this is a typical look for her. Not the nicest cat but she's still a pretty girl and my napping buddy!

I was checking my Facebook and Joshua found the pic of me (same as in the last post) and he started giving me kisses. Only it wasn't me but my monitor! By the time I returned with the video camera he was just making kissing sounds. He's rotten...

Joshua has started giving kisses and makes the funniest "kiss" sound.

It's so stinkin' cute. I am still trying to get him on video doing it but every time I get the video camera out, Jeremiah starts acting like a nut and Joshua doesn't do anything on command for me. Oh well.

Since a post isn't much fun without a pic, here is one I found from Thanksgiving of me being goofy. I was shooting pics of my niece and her fiance and as the shoot went on I ended up wearing her scarf and her glasses (to hold them when she didn't want them in the pic). She took this shot of me being silly. I don't like being on this end of the camera, I always feel like I look like a dork so I just act like one so I have an excuse! Here I am in all that dorky goodness sporting my Shootsac (Love my Shootsac!)...

We enjoyed a few days of warm weather by breaking out the chalk. I love to see my backyard decorated with my little guys' artwork!


And they decorate EVERYTHING...

In between art projects, Jey takes a moment to dance a jig...





And when they are finally finished with chalking up everything in the backyard, they resort to the pavement...

I had the opportunity to spend an afternoon with a college friend and her family. I have not seen them in years and it was so fun to catch up and meet the little ones! I was also blessed to capture her new little man and I fell in love with his baby blues...

Num-Nummy fingers - I just know they are pure sugar because he's oh-so sweet...

Isn't that precious? That is his Mommy's Monkey from when she was a little one. He matches Little Man's jammies so well too. When we snuggled the two for this shot, Nicholas went right to sleep! So adorable!!!

Funny how your choice of "toys" change when you get older, isn't it?

My newest toys here lately have been photography related - surprised, aren't you? I have been itching to add to my portable studio collection mainly for newborns since those shoots are best in the homes of clients so as to keep baby and parents comfy with all their needs at their reach. Packing up a newborn for a trip across town is a boatload so this saves the family some much needed energy!

Anyhoo... I couldn't wait to try out some new stuff so I snagged my kids for a super short photo shoot. It was a gorgeous day so I opened up the garage and set up in there. Love me some garage lighting!

This was about all I got from Joshua before he broke free to play outside...


His lashes are so long it's hard to get any catchlights unless he's looking right at you!

As you can see, Jey was just as excited to be there...


This background is perfect for color and skintones and looks great in B&W...


Another color and a really nice bamboo mat that was cooler than I thought it would be...
