Extra Fancy Dancing Clothes...
***In case you are new to my insane life, "dancing clothes" are what my son calls suits and other dressy clothes!***
It was a quick session that took all of 15 minutes from start to finish - not kidding! My mom bought the boys tuxedos a while back and I had yet to do the big photo shoot. It's not easy getting them to cooperate at the same time! But we decided to do it while my mom was here (yes, last month!). We dressed them up, threw up a backdrop and had one of the quickest photo sessions ever!
Be warned, there are a TON of images in this post! I weeded them down as much as I could bear to and then some I really loved in color as well as B&W... so I'm dumping them all here for you to see how a 15 minute session with two dressed up monkeys, a tiny box of Nerds candy, and one Grandma goes!
One of my Faves:

Jeremiah looks like a Gangster. He didn't want a top hat, he wanted a fedora!
These two are silly when they get together! I crack up at how they make the same faces!
Jey loves his Halmoni!
More silliness as we try to get Joshua to participate... then he ends up being the only sane-looking one of the bunch!

Back to the ganster look. I'm having visions of The Godfather movies. Not sure about where this shoot is now going...

Stinkers...

Joshua looks like a baby Charlie Chaplin...
The Godfather is not happy?

Ah, my silly monkeys are back!
My little Penguin...
Sweet little cutie...

My big boy...

My other fave from the session...
Dear boys, thanks for giving 15 minutes of your precious time to capture these for Halmoni. I know she'll check the blog 100 times today just to see your cute little faces and make silly noises at the monitor. Just know your 15 minutes has brought endless joy to another. Now go clean your room. Love, Mommy

Crazy Stinker Roo...
Another installment of "Why I Have A Hard Time Getting Things Done" and a sequel to "Why Mommy Wants To Pull Her Hair Out And Run Away"...
It's not as dramatic as it seems. Drama comes with Jeremiah. Joshua comes with chaos...
Remember a post not too long ago about my nice, new, CLEAN space? (click here) So much for that...
With my office off the garage, it was really simple for Joshua to wheel in Jeremiah's bike. And some random shoes. And his blanket from his bed. And to spread out lots of foam stickers from a summer craft project I got for Jeremiah. Nice.
"Joshua, what in the world are you doing?!?!?! Why are you making a mess?" Here is the look I get for asking such stupid questions....
I have to laugh at his mischievous antics. I knew for a fact this shirt was made for him...
I mean, really? Just look at him...

I'm interpreting this look to say "You think this is a mess? You ain't seen nuthin' yet!"
So I stuck a sticker on his head and then we sang Head & Shoulders...
Knees and toes, knees and toes...
Eyes and ears and mouth and nose...
Head and shoulders knees and toes, knees and toes!
(Did that remind anyone of THIS old post?)
It was like 10pm and I should have had him in bed (being the oh-so-perfect mommy that I am - note sarcasm) but instead, I tried to snag some shots of me & my little monkey together. It's not easy to get a good focus when you are hand holding a whopping camera with attached flash out in front of you and you have a monkey boy wiggling in your lap, digging in your sleeve (read previous post!)...
Attempt #2: Joshua hanging from my head...
Hmmmm... are we getting somewhere?
A little better (although this shot showed me something I had missed: that he drew on the back of my chair. Again I say, "Nice.")...
We'll take what we can get...
Joshua, even though you drive me CRAZY every day (many MANY times a day), I still can't imagine life without you. You bring me joy, happiness, love, stress... I love you, Little Roo!!!!!

Why Joshua Will Not Be Allowed To Date For a Loooooong Time...
It starts out innocent enough. He snuggles up and get that finger in his mouth, just sucking away...
But that is never good enough. He quickly finds the nearest sleeve and up goes his grubby little hand... digging and rooting around. This is his comfort habit. And while it's cute and endearing... it also gets very annoying after an entire full day of this...
Seriously, ALL.DAY.LONG. If you are sitting still, he comes up and begins to scurry up your sleeves. Of if I am standing, his little hand will make it's way up my shorts or pant leg... It's rather embarrassing at church when he's digging around in my skirt or down the front of my shirt. My only reprieve is if we go outside to play where he is so happy, he could care less if I'm alive or not. Sure, he'll give me a break indoors for about 5 minutes at a time to play (aka get into something he's not supposed to be in) but then he's right back at my side. Digging. Rooting. UGH. By the end of the day I'm so tired of him touching me I often hand him over to Daddy and run away to hide. I'm sure one day I'll miss this but today, it's driving me CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thankfully, my mom was here last month and that gave me a break now and then. And when no one is around, he resorts to this...
But this is rare as he usually hunts me down.
So this, my friends, is why Joshua will not be allowed to date until after he is married. Unless he learns to keep his hands to himself!!!!!!
