Well, apparently this is a trait dad passed down to son. Jeremiah got very excited when the Pancake Puff commercial came on. Then one day as we passed the display in Target, he got really excited about the possibility of making "Brownie Puffs!" So we thought we'd give it a whirl.
We first tried brownie puffs and they are tricky! I almost just said forget it and added this item to our the-TV-wasn't-right-this-time list. Then one day Jeremiah asked for pancake puffs. So we made pancakes and they were so easy! And came out so light and fluffy. I was quite proud. lol
Then he decided he wanted regular-looking pancakes (go figure) so I made a few and let him choose when they were all done:
Yeah, he chose the flat ones...
And just so you know how more about this informercial fetish: Jeremiah was in the bathtub talking randomly one night and he suddenly says "Call now! 1-800-929-1871! Call now!" What? This kid memorizes everything! I wrote the # down to call later just to see which commercial he was reciting. Turns out it's for debt consolidation! So if you need some help, Jeremiah will be happy to recommend a place. lol
A side note... this is how Johsua puts himself back to sleep:
I laid him down for a nap and watched him fall asleep then wake about an hour later. He fused, found his thumb then was out again.
And just for fun... have you Yearbooked Yourself? So fun I had to try it. The only pic I had handy on my computer was this one:
So I used it to see what I'd look like in the 60's:
Oh man, I need some help! lol
Mommy Moment: Tonight when Jeremiah was told it was time to get into the tub, he tells Daddy: "We have to take a fast bath. I need to wash my hair, there are turtles in my hair..." he was very business like as he marched to the bathroom. Where did he get the turtles?
a) LOVE the pancake puffs....I might have to get one of those pans to try it! b) SO sweet....babies sleeping always tug at my heart c) Your yearbook morphs are hysterical. I've seen lots of people do them with normal pics of themselves, but to use a funny face is perfect!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots....I love the one of the baby! And turtles in his hair?? Hilarious!
ReplyDeleteOh, I have been sucked into some infomercials as well. This one looks pretty cool though. The Ov glove is a favorite of ours...you need to try it!
ReplyDeleteYou look great in those glasses by the way;)
Too funny about the informercials! The pancakes do look cute!!!
ReplyDeleteI've been looking in the stores for the potato scrub gloves, myself. :-) And your yearbook photo is hilarious!
ReplyDeleteOK, your post has me seriously cracking up! J is SO silly...and OMG that yearbook pic! Take away the silly face and that is SO my mom in the early 70's! ROFL!
ReplyDeleteAnd how did I know that J would choose the flat pancakes after you went to the trouble of making the puffed ones? :p
Joshua... sucking his thumb... *swoon*
Jeremiah cracks me up! That is just too funny. I have a hard time remembering my own telephone number much less one I know I will never call. You covered alot of territory in that post! Love the yearbook thing...I will have to try that out.
ReplyDeleteMy youngest dd wants one of those pancake puffs things, I think you can put jelly or other things inside them??? Your yearbook photo just cracks me up!!!
ReplyDeleteI forgot to mention, Joshua is just adorable! Amy :)
ReplyDeletePaisley does the same exact thing with infomercial. It is so funny. She keeps begging me to get some pancake puffs. She has the whole commercial memorized. She also thinks I need a smart clip, so I won't lose my cell phone anymore.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love that thumb sucking picture. I LOVE thumb suckers!
