Howee Cow!

That is how Jeremiah says it! And it's so stinkin' cute when he says it at just the right time!

Anyways... HOLY MOLEY COW! I clocked in over 20,000 visitors as of this weekend. I don't remember exactly when I put the counter on there but it's been in the past year and a half or so, I think. I was watching it and wanted to have some kind of drawing or contest to celebrate (and just 'cuz it sounded fun!) but I almost missed it because the last 200 visitors slipped on me in the past 2 days ~ SERIOUSLY?!?! Who are all of you?!

So... I am giving away something really cool. I just don't know what yet. lol Maybe a gift certificate to Starbucks can keep someone warm this winter??? If you're not a coffee drinker, they've got some yummy hot chocolate too! Or it makes a nice re-gift! haha!

All you have to do is show yourself (friends and family can play too!). Make sure to put your name and maybe how you found my blog or why you visit but you have to answer the following question to qualify and so I can maybe get to know you better!

Question: Would you rather have one year of free chocolate or a lifetime of free potatoes?

(I love these questions, I may have to do this more often...)

Okay, so I'm sporatic in my posting lately so you may be sporatic in your visiting, I'll give you until this friday (Dec. 19th) to comment ON THIS POST. K? Oh, and even if you don't want to win anything - please post a comment so I know who is stalking this blog!

Ok... Go comment already!

  1. As much as the one year of free chocolate sounds absolutely wonderful I better go with the lifetime of free potatoes. The chocolate would just add back the pounds I've fought so hard to shed.

    Luv ya girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. I think I would like the lifetime of free chocolate because potatoes are cheaper to buy in bulk then the chocolate and plus its yummy stuff!!! Helps a girl get thru the day ya know! lol I love the pick of Jeremiah! He is so adorable!!! As far as how I found your blog....duh...you sent me an e-mail to let me know you have one and to check it out....but then I am a friend of yours....so that would be a given...lol I love you girl, you are too cute! How is the rest of your troop?

  3. I'm not a big chocolate fan so would have to go with the potatoes. When I diet my grandaughter, Rosie, will call me and say, "Guess what I'm eating? French fries", just to bug me.

  7. Hey Joanne! Its Noelle! How did I find your blog? You sent it to me and told me to look at it? Why do I visit? Because I don't get to see you often so this keeps me feeling in touch - plus your boys are adorable and your photography has gotten incredible!

And would I rather have chocolate or potatoes? I'll go with potatoes... Did you know that you can make candy out of potatoes? So there's the loophole - best of both worlds! Here's the recipe for anyone who's interested:

    Potato Candy:

1 cup mashed potatoes or 1 medium sized potato (cooked)
1 cup powdered sugar (approximately) may need more if not firm (icing sugar)
    1 tablespoon vanilla
    1 tablespoon maple syrup
    1/2 cup butter
    peanut butter (crunchy or smooth)

Combine mashed potatoes, powdered sugar, vanilla, butter and maple syrup until a dough forms. It's better to wait until the potato is cooled because if you don't, the sugar melts and you seem to have
to add a lot more sugar than if the potato were cooled. Roll the dough out to whatever thickness you like. Roll it to about 1/4 inch or maybe a little thicker. Spread peanut butter (crunchy or smooth) onto the rolled out dough. Roll the candy up and wrap it in wax paper or plastic wrap. Put it in the refrigerator to harden it up a little. Slice and eat.

    Ok, WHAT'S MY PRIZE?! :)

  8. Why am I just now finding your blog? Well anyway, now I'm here thanks to facebook.

And it's no contest. Lifetime of free potatoes. Potatoes are a top-five food. And you'd save a ton of money over a lifetime ...

  11. Well, you KNOW I stalk your blog, so I have probably contributed at least a couple hundred visits to your counter, LOL! As for your question, I am a total freak and don't much care for chocolate OR potatoes, so I'd have to pass on both! I know, I know. :p

  15. Hmmm... is that enough potatoes for a family of 13? And can I get them pre-peeled? I'm a Dutch girl at heart who grew up with potatoes at every supper, but I married an Italian who only likes them fried. Might as well eat chocolate then, right?

You know I'm a faithful reader. I love a good photo and your mommy moments are always special.
