You got some really pretty shots, I like the one of him kissing her at the altar

I think you did great with these. I think the kissing/nuzzling shots are sooo sweet. The background is kinda boring which is totally out of your control. That may be what's bothering you! Maybe try giving them a stronger vignette to hide the background more.

i think cindi gave you some good advice--plus i have none :). i think you did a great job with these! i really like the bride in the conversion.

I don't think these are as bad as you think they are.... we are our own worst critics. I totally agree with Cindi about the background. I just did my first wedding recently (had the same time issue you did as a matter of fact!) and I have come to terms that I just have to look at it as a learning experience. You did a good job with what you had to work with!

Sorry, I totally missed this post! I think you are def. on the right track JoAnne. Maybe it would help if you tried some diff. angles and maybe pulled in a bit, there's seems to be a lot of extra around the edges. Maybe filling the frame would help more!?! But like I said, you got some great shots here. As for the time issue, make sure and not skimp on that when talking to bride about it. Of course, some brides don't care as much as others. I do getting ready shots (and you can capture some great portraits there), then I have about 2 hours for all the formals. I start w/Bride and groom and make everyone else leave the room. I also do the bride alone and groom alone at this time. HTH.

Oh, and I do like that first one in B&W better!:)
