Krazy Katie
I always say everyone needs a Katie. For a varitey of reasons! One is that she is a great babysitter (I think she just wants an excuse to play with all the kid stuff!). Another is that there is never a dull moment. Most moments are blonde moments but never dull (as in never boring, not never un-sharp - just teasing!).
Katie is also quick to remind me that it's been a while since I've taken her out for pictures. So with one-month old Joshua in tow, we ride around for a quick shoot in search of fun new places for backdrops. It was an adventure since we stopped for only a few minutes at each place. I didn't have the sling at this time and didn't really want to get Joshua in and out at each place (mosquitos!) so I'd park as close to the location I could and stand no more than three feet away from my running van while I zoomed in to get Katie here and there. All the while, Joshua screamed until I fed him then was content for another ten minutes (he hates to be in the car!). It was quite interesting...
Here is one that was taken near the by-pass (it's on top of the hill behind her) and next to a little strip of stores. But let's pretend she's in some field out in the middle of nowhere, shall we? I had to zoom all the way and yell instructions to her. She didn't hear any of them but Joshua didn't like all the yelling. We were here maybe five minutes? lol
This wall was pretty cool but didn't look right when I backed up to take it all in. I'll need to work on that... It's some chinese writing on the wall of a Karate Studio. I liked the bold colors but the writing was so huge!
Here we are at the purple wall. I loved the crazy colors!
Katie gets the giggles...
Love the wall! But don't let this face fool you...
Most of the time it's like this:
Pretty close-up. Notice the soft colors behind her...
It was actually this. And it stunk. lol I had to hide the bag behind her head in the shot. The ditch in front of the purple wall:
So where is this great purple wall? Well, at Crazy Larry's, of course!
We had fun on that crazy little adventure. It was fun to get out and shoot something other than a newborn and an unwilling 4 year old! Thanks Katie! Here are your pics - finally!!! Love you!
Mommy Moment: (This is an oldie but a goodie) Katie considers herself family so she gets in on these too! John was giving away a door prize and there were 48 names on the list. He asked Katie to give him a number between 1 and 48 and she thought long and hard then finally shouted with glee, "51!" It took her a minute to realize why everyone was laughing. See? Everyone needs a Katie!
