7 Months Already! (And some other fun stuff!)

You know that big ice storm I talked about in the last post? Well, that very Tuesday that it all went down was the very day Joshua turned 7 months old! I was hoping for snow to take his picture with but that didn't happen - we got ice instead! So I crunched the truck down in the ice on the deck and plopped him down for a 2 second photo shoot. It was freezing and sprinkling freezing rain so I tried to move fast! It's a terrible image but a lovely snapshot!

7 Months!

And since we are on the subject of Joshua, here are some more little tibits of info about this little guy...

*He has been crawling for about a month now and is cruising around the furniture. Yesterday, he was standing at my desk and had something in his hand that he wanted to examine with both hands. He let go and stood there for about a second sans hands before calmly sitting down on his bottom. YIKES. It won't be long now, will it?

*If you walk into the room with food, he will hunt you down and beg like a little bird. We have decided that if we ever get lost in the wilderness and need to find food, we'll just let him down and he'll find it fast.

*His new knickname is "Curious George". I suppose it wasn't Jeremiah's imaginary friend afterall? Joshua is such a nosey kid. He's an explorer. Travels around the room touching and feeling and manipulating anything he can get his hands on. We were spoiled with Jeremiah - he wasn't nosey but would sit and study something for a loooooong time. At 2 months old, he'd play quietly by himself for 45 minutes. He'd sit for 30 minutes examining a crinkle book. I guess that's how he got so smart? Yeah, we were spoiled... Jeremiah was named after the prophet Jeremiah in the Bible. So he quietly meditated on stuff, right? Then there's Joshua who fought the Battle of Jericho... he's our do-er.

*He has been sick so he's learned that if he whines and cries (and screams bloody murder) he will be picked up. We are currently working on breaking him of this... again.

A few other quirks...

This kid has the funniest hair! It's so long on top and I can't bring myself to cut it until he's at least a year, while he's still my baby. But it makes for some interesting styles, especially after a nap:
Wild Hair

And it's fun to play with when he's getting a bath like here in Grandma's sink:
Curly Top

And this, his quirky toes:
Web Toed
It's just connected on the one foot, the other is normal. So does this mean he has 9 and a half toes or what??? When Jane first saw them, she said "It's so sad... I mean, what if he wanted to wear flip flops?" Um, wrong toes, Janie...

He's just a funny kid. My Cousin-In-Law bought him this shirt and it just suits him (oops, no pun intended):
Mr.

And some more random shots I found while digging around in old files... Sweet Morning Face:

And not to leave out Big Brother:
My Big Boy
He just looks so... Big. When did he grow up on me? I thought I was watching the whole way and I have the pics to prove it! *sigh*

Mommy Moment:

I think it must be Halloween at our house...
Gangsta
He looks like a 70's, um... well, we try not to talk about that stuff at our house! lol That is a frisbee under the top hat and check out the bling he got from Jane! lol His little mouth pursed together like that means he has a "mustanch" (mustache). He said he was going on a trip. Never a dull moment around here...
