Where is the best place to find fun brightly-colored shapes? In your toddler's room! I know, not very creative for a scavenger hunt item but I couldn't resist all those vivid colors! The funny thing is that no matter how many times we call them "blocks", Jeremiah still refers to them as "shapes". He sees shapes everywhere and sometimes I feel like Where's Waldo trying to find the yellow rectangle he is pointing out in the grocery store. We started the I Spy game in the stores when he was but a wee restless one-year-old. Now he names things for me to find! I love that he is able to see life from different perspectives and see things that often go unnoticed outside the obvious. He does this with his ABC's and numbers too. It's almost an obsession at times!
