Ready for the Red Hat?

We celebrated my Sis-in-law's 50th B-day last weekend by going bowling. Papaw was serious about the game, as usual. He used to bowl regularly but due to some physical problems is unable to anymore. But you can tell he really missed it! He immediately took control of getting things ready to go...

Jeremiah couldn't wait! He kept trying to get the balls by himself...
Aunt Linda helped J get the ball rolling down the lane...
They watched and watched as it slowly rolled down and finally ended up in the gutter...
But he wasn't dismayed, he went for another try and had a little trouble remembering where to put his fingers...
Ah, that's better... time to roll!

Papaw showing off his award-winning bowling delivery... ("it's all about the spin...")
Time for presents! Leanne celebrated her 50th with an unofficial induction to the Red Hat Society courtesy of her sister! And you can't be complete without a stunning purple boa!
There were actually two B-day girls that night. Ashley (turning 19) sported the red hat while Leanne donned the boa...

Happy Birthday, ladies!!!

Thanks for all the comments! I wanted to get back to capturing everyday life (to go with my blog title!) so thanks for endulging me to post my family snapshots!
