Overload of Park Pics

We finally had a warm day! It was so nice we couldn't resist a walk to the park. I loaded J up in the wagon and we headed off down the street to climb on all the colorful and long neglected playground equipment.

At first, J was like a crazy man. You'd think we had him locked up in the closet all these months! He just ran around the playground from structure to structure as if to say "You're back! Oh, how I've missed you!" He touched everything and tried out each thing once before he finally calmed down a bit and decided he wanted to stay over on the big slides. It was so funny to watch him jibber-jabber as he ran his circles!

Testing out each piece of equipment to make sure it was still as fun as last fall, he took a moment to wave at each kid that ran by yelling, "Hi there!"After a few rounds of tag with a new buddy, they headed to the swings to twirl around...
But then he spotted the slides again and made a mental note to return there later...
Then they got the bright idea to pile up together into one swing. Poor J was much smaller than his new friend and got a bit squished but he didn't seem to mind it one bit as they sailed through the air...
A little peek-a-boo with mommy while flying the airplane...
Then he remembered his promise to return to the slides and raced up to the biggest one...

Checking out the view before taking the plunge...
He was so tired from all the excitement of seeing his good friend 'Legion Park' again he smiled all the way home. One last glance at the playground before we rolled away...
But he worked up an appetite and my double-fisted eater dove into the peanut butter crackers before we left the parking lot!
When we got home, Daddy took a break from work and came out to play in the yard with J. They found the plastic snake we hang on the swingset to keep birds away and he ran over to show me. I cracked up wondering if the neighbors were getting scary ideas of what kind of church we pastored! LOL
Thanks for visiting! Have a great day!
